End homelessness in Centre County, PA

I work for Out of the Cold and am passionate about ending homelessness in Centre County. My organization accepts everyone. We are hosting Sleep Out Weekend, October 10, 11, and 12.

Thirty-eight percent of Out of the Cold's guests have mental illness and/or substance abuse disorder. No other local shelter serves them. Our day shelter offers showers, a hot meal, computer access, and most important, case management. With expanded hours, more case management is possible--connecting these vulnerable individuals with essential services.

One guest, who had constant run ins with law enforcement, struggled horribly with substance abuse. With day- shelter case management, this guest connected with, and went into drug and alcohol treatment, a proven path out of homelessness. Any donation will help provide more case management for other guests. Please help.
